Not a breeding production, just spoiled pets

Hognose DuckFace is not your typical breeder.
It’s only myself and my pets!
I have a male and a female Western Hognose Snake (Heterodon nasicus), each with complimenting DNA.
Each are kept in their own Exo Terra bioactive vivarium with natural decor.
More information about the enclosure can be found in under the “Snakes” tab.
The snakes eat frozen/thawed mice that I bred myself.
Mice have a Mazuri diet plus fresh veggies, grasses, and timothy hay for optimal nutrition and of course, a huge multi-level enclosure with toys and a maze.

The Snowy Call Ducks come from a pet quality drake and one of two my show quality hens, therefore all ducklings are either half or full siblings.
They live in a huge 150’ aviary with a spring-fed pond that I continually improve as my passion.

They are on a diet of Mazuri floating duck feed and spoiled with treats like peas and soldier fly larvae (yum!).
Ducklings all start off with Kalmbach All Natural Duck & Goose Feed along with Nutridrench.
All ducklings are hatched with assistance for the best chance of survival.

Meet the Ducks

Madeline and Gilda.
These beautiful Call Duck hens are Show Quality, banded, and verifiable.
They are sweet, curious, and are my pets.
All ducklings from Hognose Duckface are from one of these two hens.

This is Bruno, my drake.
He is Pet quality, but absolutely gorgeous.
Bruno is a calm and patient gentleman.
He stands back and lets his girls eat first while he watches for danger.
You can’t really get a more perfect drake.

Meet the Snakes

Hatch date: July 10, 2020
Foxy Blonde is visually a Blonde Anaconda Western Hognose snake, but like Samuel, she has very attractive HETs, being AToxic.
That’s right.
She is HET for Axanthic, Toffee, and Albino!
Foxy’s parents are: Blonde Anaconda Albino x Toxic Anaconda.
No doubt, Samuel and Foxy are going to make an exciting neonate color and pattern lottery.

Samuel L Jackson

Hatch date: July 21, 2020
Samuel L Jackson visually reflects the normal/ wild type Western Hognose snake on the outside, but has attractive HETson the inside, being Toffee and 66% Axanthic.
According to his breeder his parents are very red.
His mother is Anaconda HET Toxic, poss Amelenistic.
His father is Anacoda Toffee Het Axanthic poss Amelenistic.

Samuel L Jackson was the only normal looking hognose in his clutch.

Yes, he may look normal, but he potentially will make this same array of colors and more with his mate, Foxy Blonde.
